Stupid me, I should have looked more carefully, mind dagger does indeed have duration of 2 rounds, because it has has a secondary effect which lasts two rounds. And it does indeed appear that lightning bolt and most other combat spells with no lingering effects, do indeed have a duration of one round listed, I thought that instantaneous spells did not have duration, but they appear to. Ignore my ramblings.
