Re: 4Th ED Wiz Questions about spell matix & how dispell wor
I do appreciate that you take the time to respond to these questions. As for your comment on my phrase for " spell-like abilities ", I guess the proper phrase is Magical Effects . (Spells, Talents, Talent Knacks, Discipline Abilities, Magic Items or Creature Powers, including those of spir...

Re: 4Th ED Wiz Questions about spell matix & how dispell wor
So you are saying that the Horror Power, Animate Dead is not considered a spell -like ability. Do Nethermacers still have the Spell Version of Animate Dead to create Skeletons? Why wouldn't it work? The horror power creates a spell-like effect and animates a corpse for a duration of time. After that...

Re: Weaponsmith & Conversation
It seems to me that low circle Weaponsmiths would not be the person a town would go to for advice, they would higher circle (more established) one. A lower circle Weaponsmith needs to establish himself and to create a customer base. So, at second circle they should receive Haggle and not Conversatio...

Re: 4Th ED Wiz Questions about spell matix & how dispell wor
I have a follow-up question on Dispel Magic. From the ED3 rules, this ability can be used on any non-permanent magical effect. The Dispel Magic spell can also be used to dispel magical effects produced by talents and talent knacks, Discipline abilities, magic items, or creature powers (including tho...

Re: karma ritual
That sounds like it would be a significant day in the life of that adept. To rise to the cause and try all that you can to overcome the odds stacked against you and your friends. A truly epic day.... something legends are written about.

Re: Weaponsmith & Conversation
I can understand that in general weaponsmiths do have to interact with clients when selling their services but, as player's character I still see conversation as a choice and not a requirement. Personally I am very fond of games where you get the opportunity to make things. Crafting. The weaponsmith...

Patterncraft
I am curious about this information.. What is "Patterncraft"? Replaced Read/Write Magic. Along with the reading of magical runes & learning spells, other functions of this talent include identifying spells, designing new common magical items and thread items, and creating signature spe...

Weaponsmith & Conversation
I found this chart while looking thru some old posts, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gPj6wSojmogm41qfVOj2daoUME3xp5K9aSgaFqMx-KY/edit?pli=1#gid=0 I am curious as to why Weaponsmiths are required to take Conversation at second circle. This seems like it should be a option for the discipline ...
