Gensai, Third Circle Dwarf Scout Attributes DEX (16): 7 STR (13): 6 TOU (16): 7 PER (16): 7 WIL (12): 5 CHA (14): 6 Characteristics Initiative: 7 Physical Defense: 10 ...

Re: ED Characters and Power Combos
Now as for applying this technique to players characters it should not be too difficult. All you are doing is essentially taking good ole Game Master short hand and instead of applying it to Game Master Characters you apply it to the Player Characters sheet.

Re: ED Characters and Power Combos

The overall response was that people like the Game Master Characters in the current format over a reduced format. Of course sinc...

Re: How to make things go smoothly: combat & general referen
Additional help in speeding up combat: Take the step, Initiative is the step number for gamemaster opponents. So a creature with an Initiative Step of 6 goes at 6. Using playing cards to represent initiative is useful, you use the card with the appropriate number then flip it down after acting, help...

Re: Looking for a spell...
Interesting, seems to me a little out of reach at Fourth Circle, being that Astral Pocket is a Ninth Circle Warden talent. Pocket Guardian is at Second Circle, it summons a guardian for you pouches. You might need a modified version of the spell, something like a Third Circle version. Call it someth...

Re: darkness and evil eye
As for Evil Eye, no the caster cannot use Willforce to affect the Difficulty Number, as the spell's Effect is -5 penalty to all Action Tests, except trying to resist the spell. See Effect Tests p.141. Air Armor is not affected by Willforce in the spell example, as it has a set effect of +3 Physical ...

Re: Cathay Sourcebook Set
Indeed the Cathay sourcebooks are excellent. The Scholar Discipline is a personal favorite that seems a bit skipped over by my current Cathayan PCs. Hardback is the way to go. You'll be using these books for a long time. Even if not running a Cathayan campaign, the creatures in the Game Master book ...
