Re: Mists of Betrayal (Revised)?

One thing I have noticed is that Heirmon makes more sense, as a 4th ed Wizard can get item history. In 3rd ed, it made more sense to make Brenula a full-fledged weaponsmith and leave Heirmon out of it altogether.

Combat options

So, there is a real chance I'll actually start putting together a 4th edition game in the next month or so after a bit of a dry spell. There are a couple of house rules I've thought about, most of which I'm probably not going to use. However, there are a few that I'd like to include from the beginni...

Re: Were Brithans and Shadowmants weaker before?

I'm interested in this question also! Is there a general power creep with the increased karma usage, or were some creature's power levels altered to fill some gaps in opposition, or am I crazy?

Re: Handling large groups with iffy attendance

The sticker for Earthdawn is rapid character development. Adepts take a minute to make up. Maybe you could create half-adepts though. Half-adepts have access to some magic, but are untutored. Some have the potential to become adepts, but some do not and no one knows what makes the difference. They h...

Re: Handling large groups with iffy attendance

How often are you meeting? Is attendance predictable, meaning you know who is going to be at each session? Maybe you could have something different you play when the Straggler is in, or the Straggler could help run an NPC each session.

Re: Thief Half Magic

Well, it shouldn't cover any test covered by Bribery, Streetwise, Picking Pockets, Disarm Trap, Danger Sense, or Awareness. (did I miss any?) I'm going to spitball some ideas, some of which are included in other's suggestions above - Guard dogs - should a thief be expected to have Animal Handling? N...

Re: Stats for Non Adepts

Nothing published yet, I think, but there is a handy chart in the GM book chapter on GM characters for squirtin' out some quick ones.

I regret nothing.

Re: New Illusionist Spells Ideas

I like it! Perfume - my kind of spell. Can you apply it to an object too? Could you put it on a timer? Perfume a silver with the distinct smell of fish and slip it into the diplomat's purse and walk away? Quicksand - very practical. I'm not sure about the visual of the downdraft effect, although I c...

Re: Multi-Discipline Adepts

They are common in the blood elves book. It's always been a problem to me too. I've never known what to do about it, though. Maybe only durability from one discipline counts?
