Re: [ED4] Spell / Talent synergy. Frighten has some great o

It looks like Nethermancer spells stack with themselves better than any other classes. For example Elementalists have 3 different movement spells, but they don't stack. For example Earth surfing must be touching earth, but Mantle of the lightning Vanguard ends as soon as he touches earth again. So n...

Re: [ED4] Spell / Talent synergy. Frighten has some great o

And once again, any other good synergies out there where 2 or 3 spells all improve the same talent?

Re: [ED4] Spell / Talent synergy. Frighten has some great o

Fog of fear. There is only one Frighten test compared to MD of all targets. Some will be more frightened than others, while some wont be affected at all. I am not 100% sure about this. The only importance of this question is in regards to the spending of Karma. If you get 10 people in a Fog of Fear...

[ED4] Spell / Talent synergy. Frighten has some great ones

I was looking through the Nethermancer spells, and trying to figure out how some of the spells would be synergistic with each other. I am also wondering what other great Talent / Spells combo's were out there. My understanding is that "Fog of Fear" normally takes 3 rounds / actions to achi...

Karma and multi-Discipline characters

A characters maximum karma is his racial karma multiplier times his circle. How about multi-discipline characters? Do they get karma for each circle in each discipline? Or only for the discipline they have the highest circle in? I know that for durability and bonuses, they only get the highest value...

Re: [ED4] Weaponsmith, Craftsman, and tools

Yes, I would agree with everything you said, except that almost all PC Weaponsmiths are going to have the primary focus of crafting weapons, which not only requires tools, but a full forge. I suppose a PCs 5 pound traveling toolkit can include light metalworking tools, just not a forge, bellows, anv...

[ED4] Weaponsmith, Craftsman, and tools

Had a question of whether a weaponsmiths craftsman tools would be free since characters get free Artisan tools and the craftsman skills can be considered Artisan skills. Then I did a bit of reading and realized that the craftsman talent is a huge - poorly thought out can of worms. The Craftsman Tal...

T'Skrang Beastmaster - Claw Shape and Tail Attack

I have read that for attack purposes, T'Skrang treat their tails like any other limb for making unarmed attacks. The Claw Shape talent specifically mentions that it transforms HANDS into claws. I would have little difficulty with a windling that wanted to make a swoop attack using claw shape with hi...

Re: [ED4] Does Defensive Stance slow your Initiative?

Thanks everybody. So I guess that is what the RAW says, and it looks like about half the people are doing it that way, and half aren't. But I agree that so long as you are consistent it should not matter too much. I must say that this makes the lowly Tail Slap attack even worse than it already was. ...

Re: About illusions

I don't have any answers, but allow me to toss in a few more questions generally related to the question of how powerful illusionists are. An illusion can't affect mindless things. If an illusionist cast an ephemeral bolt at a pumpkin, he might fool other namegivers into believing that the pumpkin h...
