Re: Earthdawn 4th Edition video update

Seeing the Barsaive boxed set just reminded me of the awesome map it had and Shantaya's sextant. It was a great resource which my players used to plot out the locations of towns and lost kaers and how long it would take to ride/walk there etc. Are their any plans to release an updated version of the...

Re: Earthdawn: Fourth Edition coming in 2014

I thought the hardcover books were only for those that took part in the Kickstarter?

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

Attached weapon (and weapon have this mark in description) is treat as Unarmed. Tskrang Tail is one exception and they can use normal blades. U can use attached weapon with swift kick, why not ? You just need attach it to leg. Attached weapon still can be targeted with extra talent/skill. You can't...

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

On the other hand, the whole rule with Attached Weapons isnt too clear. Ed4: "Tail Attack This combat option is only available to t’skrang. The character makes an additional attack in close combat using his tail. The character makes an Unarmed Combat test, and suffers a –2 penalty to all tests...

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

If other races use a 2-hand sword, they don't get the Second Weapon option. If they want to use Second Weapon, they are restricted to smaller weapons (broad sword and short sword, most commonly). Setting aside bonuses from things like threaded or forged weapons, this gives t'skrang: Step 8 (Melee) ...

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

1ed Second Attack precluded the use of talents that give an additional attack (eg Swift Kick). The line is missing from 3ed. 3ed Second Weapon says if you have a weapon in your off-hand or on your tail you can use the talent - doesn't say anything about being limited to once per round. So technicall...

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

Just because something has been around for a long time, doesn't mean it should never be fixed. I agree, but the word 'fixed' implies something is broken. I just didn't understand how this rule was broken. It allowed for another full attack, which no one else received, and was simply too powerful wh...

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

Swift Kick no longer seems to allow t'skrang to use their tails instead of feet to attack. Is this right? And if so, can you explain why it was removed (the rule has been in every edition since first and didn't seem like it was broken).

Thanks.

Re: New Wrinkles

Our group's current use of Karma is a mix of rules from different editions. We kept the karma die for each race the same as 1E (like some others here we thought some races were being stiffed by the 'everyone gets a d6!' rule, even though that would make things a little easier). We removed the Legend...
