Re: stupid question about dice step changes
my GM made me use my D4 a lot for my purifier b/c he punished me for min/maxing (my friend's suggestion). I had a step 3 Charisma for the longest time until I beefed it through stat increases and then threadweaving. I think I ended up getting it to 2d6 at some point. :) Again though, nothing like ro...

Re: Fourth Edition Preview -- A whole lot of talents
Embrace the Talent Knacks! I'm fourthing that one sentiment. I love knacks for their ability to cheaply provide variance between disciplines using the same talent. Knacks should be discipline specific for that reason alone. Secondly they offer flare to talents for a modest LP cost and sometimes addi...

Re: RPG.NET Q&A Archive
This was really fun. Glad I made it despite feeling terribly under the weather (still do). Thanks all who answered. I think I really want to make it to GenCon since this, and I think ED, will be released at the con.

Re: Fourth Edition Preview -- A whole lot of talents
Without actually having the book on me to read it, what made Spirit Dodge so overly powerful that it warranted removal? Also, I too like Parry, unless Riposte assumes that talent and requires you to commit one roll for the parry and depending on success then get a second roll for the damage. And in ...

Re: Passions and Questors - What Would You Like to See?1
Purifiers are a perfectly viable discipline. Don't go thinking they are worth sacrifice or deletion. Maybe I'll give you Liberators, but not Purifiers. That discipline is amazing: it's an eco-monk essentially.

Re: Questions about Travar, Elven Nations, Questors, & Metap
https://sites.google.com/site/ageoflegend4e/Home/world-of-earthdawn/history this is the most detailed timeline I found but It may contain unofficial stuff. I'd actually like an official timeline both on the site and part of the main rulebook. i think that have it + page references to where it's men...

Re: Questions about Travar, Elven Nations, Questors, & Metap
In my Barsaive Alachia was stabbed with the Everliving Flower by the members of Seekers of the Heart living legend cult and Alamaise burnt the Elven Palace at the end of Mists of Betrayal. After that she raised from the ashes, without thorns and sat on the Rose Throne which bloomed first time since...

Re: Questions about Travar, Elven Nations, Questors, & Metap
I echo these sentiments. I love the meta plot and it never got in the way much as some people might think who don't like it. It was there, take it or leave it. A GM could easily circumnavigate the entire meta plot and just have characters in the world of ED. So for those who do like it, don't forgo ...

Re: A word from Morgan
Hello, Well, I may be a minority here, but this article does not encourage me. The subtext of this article seems to be that "character optimization is something that all players strive for", and that's something I just don't agree with. That combined with some of the other previews and co...
