There are times when I like to use a battle map. Having the option in the rules for grid use isn't a bad thing, ime.

I believe the armor penetration issue for Disciplines that rely on it may be mitigated depending on changes with how called shots and Spot Armor Flaw are handled. Here's my thinking: Characters with a low Physical Defense don't really have an alternative way of protecting themselves from combat damage -- you can take some armor, but armor defeating hits against them make that pointless (and its a lot easier to get AD hits on them once enemies have a few rank...

Right now the intention is for it to just do extra damage -- helping overcome armor in the case of armored opponents, or doing nastier damage to unarmored targets. This makes better attack rolls useful in all circumstances, and also helping mitigate the "great attack, crummy damage" scena...
