That was one of the reasons I tried to include some sample NPC's in the GM Guide. Having a nice database of NPC's that are fully fleshed out and have backstories would be awesome though.

Negative. We're coming up on another print run soon and I am (between overtime at the day job and working on other projects) trying to compile a list to apply for a new printing. Once the list is compiled we will first apply it to the PDF and update the PDF for review.

True enough, I am just used to my own group of gamers whose characters will fight to the death (in any game system) over the smallest slight and in the face of even the most overwhelming odds.

Going with option 3 since the characters are green it gives plenty of options for backup if it gets out of hand :) Option two looks like fun too but it puts the characters squarely at odds with militia and knights without a lot of backup, if you are using FSR then they's probably get wiped out quick...

I like the idea of maybe a yearly or twice-yearly function where the Alexius, any Knights on Byzantium and a class of new recruits being knighted. I am not happy at all with the maps. We revamped Criticorum to high-res for CD and I think that as we do new products we will update the maps some more. I'll see if we can get them in a nice digital format and online as well.
