Re: Eleventh Hour Preview: Wizard
Is the general feeling then that granting a second free Standard Matrix at Third Circle isn't sufficient? Do people think it would be better to give the two free matrices up front, rather than making the caster wait? Assuming you like the idea of free matrices in the first place (which is NOT a for...

Re: Questions about Travar, Elven Nations, Questors, & Metap
Bartertown is the merchant city at the gates of Throal and is a big one… It’s also one that is in decline, is very dangerous, unstable and has shrunk by 10000 recently as people move to the inner cities. Yes there is a lot of wheeling and dealing but as an economic power Bartertown does not cut it....

Re: Canonical Earthdawn
First to the question in hand. How closely do you adhere to the "canonical" details of Earthdawn's published setting material? As a GM I pretty much stick 100% to the canon where I can, and this applies to all games and not just Earthdawn. As a player who knows quite a bit about the overa...

Re: The Chopping Block
To be honest, I've had only two real "as in qualified and played" characters for Earthdawn. My first: A Wizard who later became Wizard / Elementalist My Second: A Journeyman What I do know: Having run a few games with many different players, I've watch some players surprise me with how the...

Allen Varney is a good writer, however, some of his "world views" for Earthdawn don't really mesh well with core concepts already established.

On a side note, my FLGS has been around for almost 20 years. The owner calls most of us her kids.

Re: Kickstarter!
I understand costs and such and will not shy away from 4th Edition should it go "digest". However, I am an old school gamer, and honestly would just prefer my books in the traditional format. Also consider this will the first time in about 15 years I will be buying all my books in dead tre...

Hey Slim,
I'll happily look, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist and an Earthdawn purist. Can't promise more than that.

Re: Earthdawn: Fourth Edition coming in 2014
I can only say, that I have a personal vested interest as well as a dedicated love for Earthdawn, that I will put my trust and faith behind Mataxes. As far as the past goes, Earthdawn has had its many ups and downs. But look at the dedicated people that have been with us over the years. And yes, we'...
