Re: Fading Suns Quiz

I'll try.

Princess Victoria Hawkwood.
Prince Hyram Decados.
Duke Hakim al-Malik, married to Duchess Yusara al-Malik.
Prince Juan Jacobi Nelson Eduardo de Aragon, married to Princess Martia Celestra Justus de Aragon (p. 16, IS 3, left hand column).
Prince Flavius Li Halan.

Is that everyone?

Re: Cost of transport services

And while the guild may have Hopper flights, I don't think the noble would be willing to ride in a cargo hold with machine parts and guilders. I tend to organize air travel as a subset of the Charioteers - not their guild exclusive, but an area that they dominate due to training and expertise. Other...

Re: Cost of transport services

Which answer drives your plot forward? If you want them to make a flitter trip, make it something they can afford. If you would rather they travelled by ground car, but don't really care, make it cost enough that they feel they earned the luxury. If you don't want them to travel by flitter, it costs...

Re: How should peoples interact with a Noble?

Calvin, I disagree with your take on spaceships in the fleet, but I agree with the rest. I think we just read the material in Legions of the Empire differently. I certainly agree that a baron could not afford to have a ship built, but the costs of maintenance are fairly low. Salaries for gunners, ma...

Re: How should peoples interact with a Noble?

In my own campaigns, space navy ships are usually tied to fiefs that provide the base crew and operating funds, at least in theory. In a well run navy, this will be true, but in most navies, the noble in command of the ship will have to supplement his operating funds somehow. I like to tie ships to ...

OK, question. On what planet are remote villages and mining operations menaced by Rock Trolls?

I'd say the point goes to Aurin, for being patient and waiting for us to use up all the wrong answers.

Re: Fading Suns Quiz

The Teldor treaty is the cease-fire treaty with the Vuldrok on Leminkainen. As I recall it only applies to that system, and among other things it guarantees the Vuldrok unmolested space travel and rule of their continent of Valdalla as a semi-autonomous fiefdom in exchange for no raiding. The Vuldro...

Re: Fading Suns Quiz

I'm going with Leminkainen. Gwynneth was really punished by orbital bombardment by the rest of the house for not divesting themselves of high tech, and they still have the big problem with forest pagans. They also were in the mix with al-Malik invasions through their history. Leminkainen has the con...
