Re: ED4 Talents and Progression
Not any talent probably, but all talents from discipline options instead of limiting them to one/circle. Yeah, this. Any Archer can learn any Archer Talents. What's wrong with that? Thanks for the clarification. The other way made my head explode. I actually really like the new Archer build. It smo...

Re: Fourth Edition Preview -- A whole lot of talents
Talents don't need to be used every round in order to be worthwhile. This shift away from situational abilities is one of the biggest flaws in design since RB took over imo. Making every ability useful every combat just removes tactical decisions from the players-- spam everything ya got til you dr...

Re: Fourth Edition Preview -- A whole lot of talents
Hey look it's D&D with a different dice system. I got flanking, I got flanking w00t!, w00t!. Backstab, Backstab. I win Earthdawn! I've got two responses to this: 1. Good. ;) 2. We've gone over this already in another thread. Guess you never played AD&D, huh? The way Surprise Strike works no...

Re: Fourth Edition Preview -- A whole lot of talents
http://www.fasagames.com/blog/?post_id=61&title=fourth-edition-preview:-a-whole-lot-of-talents I suspect this one to generate a bit of discussion. Have at it! • Book Memory -- Thumbs up. Useless or redundant talents has always been one of my biggest pet peeves about Earthdawn. • Detect Trap -- ...

Re: ED4 Companion Hardcover: How To Do It
Agree with the others. Not bailing on my early bird hardcovers. I know it's being considered as an add-on to the early birds and as a new reward level. This is the best plan, imo.

Re: ED4 Talents and Progression
I have no intention of limiting my PCs on Talent Options. The more things you spend Legend on, the slower you Circle. Choice. Consequence. And I thought Versatility (which is banned/changed in my game) was shtick-busting. Yeesh. Edit: Wait. If you allow every discipline/race to have any tale...

Re: ED4 Talents and Progression
Circle 1 Changes: Karma Ritual is no longer a talent. Avoid Blow and Throwing Weapons have changed places. Spend karma on Avoid Blow? Yes, please. Arrow Weaving moved here from 4th Circle, allowing for the adept to use threadweaving right out of the gate (huge fan of this by the way). Circle 2 Chan...
