Re: Buckler and Bow
Isn't this the entire point of a buckler? For use by archers?

Re: [ED4E] Running for Troubadours
As far as I can tell, Inspire Others is a decent candidate for the single best talent in the game. Heavy investment in that pays off and makes the entire party capable of ridiculous feats.

Re: Descriptions
It's always been a part of the ED universe that I've played in that weaving a thread pretty nearly required a physical action (usually something that looks like moving threads around with your bare hands), and so if it was done during conversation it was kinda like someone unsnapping a belt knife - ...

Re: Additional Targets in Spellcasting
Do you think letting someone be the target of multiple Mind Daggers break the game? Not the penalty aspect, just the damage? It's essentially increasing the speed of multiple castings by adding threads but then making only one spellcasting test. It says "additional target", not "addi...

Re: 4th Edition Reviews?
I get that... it's one of the things that often makes ED grognards (and I count myself among them -- bought the original core in hardcover in '93) growl. But, honestly... are the free talents good enough to justify spending points on them? No, but if people who don't get them for free have the opti...

Re: [ED4] Book Memory Wizards
Saving money on library fees. Encyclopedic knowledge of any subject you can find a real good book on. Worrying less about the fragility of that one amazingly awesome ancient tome you found in a kaer. Permanently memorizing any book someone is foolish enough to leave you alone with for ten minutes. T...

Re: [ED4] Book Memory Wizards
If a high-Circle Grimoire sells for thousands of silver, then it's basically a money factory for the first few Wizards who turn themselves into printing presses. Then, a year later, copies of Astral Catastrophe are being sold in pamphlet form in all major cities for 50 silver each.
