Re: Stealthy Stride & Attacks
Dex step is the base difficulty if they are hiding. See suprise rules. Stealthy Stride talent is an Illusion, to work you need to be stealthy, attacking someone (depending on situation) is not very stealthy. But there will be so many situations, like throwing dagger from shadows, that will be proble...

Re: Sticky combat vs Mounted combat
Actually we got only 2 house rules, Response and half movement/blindsided. As for Creatures Real Speed, I edited PG and GMG pdfs, changes there are minor really, just on big space because of movement of creatures being on different pages. It took us 2 sessions to get along with Creatures Real Speed ...

Re: Sticky combat vs Mounted combat
The Undying, We are not using hexes. Hex is area where you can reach with your weapon (normally), not only 2 yards distance. We made our changes because the way We play is (as medieval reenacters) Realism Heavy. We know that turning your back to opponent is in 90% of times a hit to your back, and on...

Re: Sticky combat vs Mounted combat
Dougansf, moving away from close combat (withdrawing is not special action as we play, its just moving away) does not halve your movement, its your choice to move away facing oponent (which halves movement), or just turn around (Blindsided). So to withdraw as safe as you can - you move away facing o...

Re: Sticky combat vs Mounted combat
Adding Response was my take on defending Magicians/Archers. Its kinda strange for me, because of any "sticky combat" rule, to say - You cannot move because rules say it. You want to move you can, but there should be some penalty for not paying attention to opponent attacking you. Dougansf,...

Re: Stealthy Stride & Attacks
Also PG p.267 "A character who has detected an illusion can help others overcome its effects. He can use his understanding to convince others of the nature of the illusion, granting them a +5 bonus to their Sensing tests when actively working with them to demonstrate its nature. This bonus is c...

You might want to check this link: http://www.fasagames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1600&hilit=mount+speed&start=20#p16871 I got 2 Cavalryman in our team, I was GMing for them for many years (6+ now). When I got my hands on 4ed I changed a bit rules, as in link above. For 'sticky comb...

[Ed4] Aura Strike spell
The single Wound is dealt even if there is no damage (because of targets armor)?
If there would be enough damage, would it cause additional Wound (Wound Treshold)?

[Ed4] Stealthy Stride talent
Using Stealthy Stride needs Simple Action so a test is made every round. Test Result is difficulty to see the adept. How do You rule it works, a test at the beginning of a round (simplest choice), or from that Adept Initiative to his initiative in next round? So lets say Adept used talent and is inv...
