Re: Timeline questions

When I put together the original timeline project many of the dates in the sourcebooks were vague and approximate, so anything with a tilde indicates the date is approximate. Aha! So that's what those ~ are for! Thanks Mataxes, I can actually get to sleep now :) In terms of a comprehensive timeline...

Timeline questions

In 3ed and Classic they have little timeline boxes throughout the 'How it Came to Pass' section of the books. Next to some of the entries on these timelines there is a tilde (which if you don't know looks like this: ~). Does anyone know what it's for? I've looked an can't find any reference to it. I...

Total Legend and Legendary Status

I noticed 4ed still has kept this line from 3ed about keeping track of a character's Total Legend Points: "The character never reduces his Total Legend Points; they are mainly used to determine his Legendary Status—how notable his legend is as it develops, and how it affects others as a result&...

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

There doesn't seem to be any Size 7 weapons in any of the Goods and Services tables. The 4e Weapon Size Restriction Table shows Trolls and Obsidimen are still able to use Size 7 weapons two-handed, so I'm assuming weapons like the raid spear and stonemaul will be re-introduced in later books? Would ...

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

Cheers Panda! I appreciate the quick and thorough response. Ride the lightning - In the description it reads: "With three successes, he may immediately act as though he has not taken any actions yet this round." Does this mean with 3 successes he can take only Simple Actions, or does it me...

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

I had a thorough read of the Spell Magic section of the book on my holidays. I really like what you guys have done with the Illusionist and Wizards! They are really strong alternatives the Elementalist and Nethermancer. I've added a bunch of typos to the Google spreadsheet (hopefully you h...

Re: Disbelieving Illusionist spells in 4th Edition

It's not like the guy comes up with a Nametag reading, "Hi! I'm an Illusionist!" True, but... While IMB I do play the different schools of magic having certain symbols common to their Disciplined that are embroidered on their robes This. In our games you can usually identify a spellcaster...

Disbelieving Illusionist spells in 4th Edition

I like the new 4th Edition illusion rules, especially the gamble that comes with disbelieving damaging spells. An Illusionist can really mess with people's minds: "Which Ephemeral Bolt am I going to throw at you next? Real or illusion?" Disbelieving the true version of a spell can really h...

Re: Earthdawn 4th Edition video update

That's a shame about the sextant. I guess we were in the minority in using it for our games.
A new version of the map wouldn't get much use in or games either (we use Maptools), but it sure would look nice on the wall of my study :D
