Re: ED4 Talents and Progression
Ok, just making sure I wasn't missing a mechanic that had been added. You're probably right. Thanks!

Re: Fourth Edition Preview -- A whole lot of talents
Just two of my opinions about the new talent mechanics Parry - You should keep it. Mechanically it's the same as the Avoid Blow, it's true, but it gave the "warrior disciplines" the edge, that they can counter more than one attack in a round (if they learned both). This is a good point th...

Re: Preview #5 - Spells
As you have indicated, it does open up quite a bit of area to develop new ideas. Including spells that can be used offensively or defensively. The idea of spells being more versatile overall is definitely an area that I am exploring (e.g. a single spell that has a few different variations which can...

Re: ED4 Talents and Progression
Wow, thanks for bringing it back. I actually really like what is going on here with the Archer. Adding an initiative booster and putting weaving at 1st Circle are smart moves. I'm going to miss Flame Arrow early but with spot armor flaw being a booster I think it will work out. All in all good direc...

Re: ED4 Talents and Progression
Did Spot Armor Flaw stop being a damage buff in 2nd or 3rd ed? That would have made me sad, glad we didn't play those.

Re: Feedback (for ED4) on Spirits and Summoning
Ok, I have a keyboard so here we go. One option I've thought of is to have the number of spirits you can "control" (Summon Rank/whatever or a stricter number if we want) be only what you are maintaining dominance over in the physical plane/in your immediate area in Astral. Therefore you co...

Re: Feedback (for ED4) on Spirits and Summoning
All this is good discussion. I lean toward more versatile use. What if the limit is only on what you can control in your presence at one time. Then combat will stay limited while characters can maintain a variety of spirits in reserve. Also duration of spirit is a limiter. Will expand when not on ce...
