Gary Con begins tomorrow and we still have a few slots available at our tables! If anyone is debating whether or not to come out, I say 'go for it!' It is a very relaxed atmosphere and playing games is free! (with the purchase of a Badge)
Hopefully I will see some of you there!

Re: Questions and answers...
I don't think that 'Named Spells' should be the bar that you measure Thread Items against. In third edition there was a side bar on Named Spells that said 'these are overpowered, a GM should be very careful with what they allow'. I feel like the Named Spells mechanic as written needs a major rewrite...

Re: 15mm and Qs
Way to stay positive, Roth! On a serious note, those graphs were neat. Is 15 mm really so much more popular overseas? I've never gamed outside of the states, so it seems an interesting factoid. I think that FASA breaking into minis games in general is going to be very difficult. It seems l...

Re: Questions and answers...
I think there were some rules which need more clarification, especially the combat rules for "sneaking" "hiding in shadows" for scout and thief character classes. Ideally with examples how that would work. Area of effect's should be clarified. Also some tactical options need to ...

Re: Questions and answers...
We have seen a lot on mechanics updates, right now i'm more interested in an update on the world. I heard King Neden is dead, what does the public know about that? Maybe a Throalic eye view on the Theran War? Major engagements, major players, current standings, etc.

Re: Shiny new things?
I've never messed with Twitch streamings, I watch a few video game channels from time to time but that is about it. Is there a big RPG following on Twitch? I'm hoping to take pictures with the players and maybe give out a few non-spoilery things as well as my impression of the mechanics if I get the...

Re: Attack to stun overpowered?
Yes, I have had problems with attack to stun. When either side outnumbers the other, attacking to stun is a pretty powerful tactic. I instituted a two-step penalty on attacking to stun. We kicked around the idea of making the attack take strain as well. Then people stopped attacking to stun. At high...

Re: Let's Talk About Forge
Tests are made at the end of process not beginning and still it's ritual and needs time.. You could allow the player to make the forge weapon test days early, adding to the target number he need to hit by a success. Essentially having him 'buy his success' up front. But that introduces a whole new ...

Re: Let's Talk About Forge
Ah, you're right. I had misunderstood what you wrote and misunderstood what the official line was. I see now what you are saying, a week of forging to get a +1 on a weapon is a bit steep (though with success levels that could pretty easily be a +3). It would take close to a month for a party of 4 to...

Re: Shiny new things?
Harlequin is correct! I'll be running a sneak peek at GaryCon in the form of three adventures. With the help of another Freedonian Engineer that gives us six time slots. We've still only sold half of our tickets so far, so its a good chance for anyone to see what Mataxes is cookin' up. :) Otherwise,...
