Re: Most Extensive and Crazy Houserules
Oh, we 'take the step' or just hand wave the roll if it isn't interesting. I tend to do this in most games I run. I don't like pure diceless systems, but you don't have to make players roll for everything. It's a great way to speed things up, especially with mundane tasks or when fighting mooks. He...

Re: Seeking some feedback on a possible ED4 change
Windling which is around 40 pounds, and obsidiman which is roughly 800 pounds. I'm more interested in game balance than real-world physics. I mean, if we're going for realism, then an Obsidiman's worst enemies are chairs, ladders, and rickety bridges - not necessarily in that order. People always g...

http://www.fasagames.com/blog/?post_id=60&title=earthdawn-developers-blog%3A-and-now-a-word-from-morgan That's great news. I love the way it's going (mentioning Detect and Disarm Trap for example). This fills me with so much excitement, I might have to go see a doctor if it lasts longer than 4 ...

Re: Seeking some feedback on a possible ED4 change
How about a very small strain pool (say equal to your circle x3) which you can refill by spending karma as a free action? After you exhaust it you can alternatively use hp? Karma is not that much for most characters. Agreed. Spending karma to replenish the pool is a little too easy. I like the idea...

Re: Seeking some feedback on a possible ED4 change
I think he means that whether you need to test for Knockdown is based on Toughness (as it keys off Wound threshold). But yes, the test itself is Strength-based. Sort of. I was following up on Stormcrow's original idea: I was thinking the simplest way to do it would be to have another box on the cha...

Re: ED4 Preview #3
Why should non-Adepts have the exact same rules than Adepts for some things? For simplicities' sake, as well as for consistency. Adepts & non-adepts exist within the same world, so using the same game system makes the most sense. There are blessings and curses to giving everyone and everything ...

Re: Seeking some feedback on a possible ED4 change
Why not have a KDT based off of Str in the character creation table thing? You could make it much higher than WT on average but I think it would make Str more interesting. I do not think resistance to knockdown should be in any way based on strength. I understand why you think it might make a good ...
