Re: Extra Successes allowing extra Targets
But under other legitimate circumstances they might want to target a tree. What if I wanted to set it on fire and blast it into a gully to block an escape route?

Re: Extra Successes allowing extra Targets
Ehhhh ... I would _not_ let them bootstrap. Or what would stop you from targeting a tree to get the lower MD? Too ripe for abuse.

Because you are automatically considered to be trying to hit a weak spot to the best of your ability.

Re: [ED4] Book Memory Wizards
Oh - I thought but did not say - a given book would have a maximum rank, 1 or 2 or possibly 3. It wouldn't be able to increase past it's maximum rank - usually only rank 1. It wouldn't affect an existing higher skill rank.

Re: 4th Edition Reviews?
Just got my book the other day, and I am so pleased. Only wish I'd sprung for the hard cover. I still will have some house rules, mostly to eliminate some rolls where possible, and I'm going to use the optional advancement rule. But: great job you guys. For the auto talents - I like the idea. For a ...

Re: [ED4] Book Memory Wizards

Re: Spell Sketches
Numb Senses only affects perception tests. It is a perception test debuff only, and only for one sense. It doesn't affect attacks or anything like that. But it might also let you stomach dwarf mine rations for one more day.

Re: Spell Sketches
Thanks everyone! Baravakar - I agree with everything you say about Numb Senses. With Monster in Your Midst, it should target the character that is transformed, but the illusion affects everyone who sees it. They may attempt to disbelieve it, and any ability that tries to understand what happened to ...

Spell Sketches
I have a number of incomplete illusionist spells I'm working up. Any suggestions for circles, threads, effects, etc are more than welcome. If you guys like these, I have more. There was a major brainstorm here the other day! Numb Senses Threads: 1 Weaving: Casting: TMD Range: 30 yards Duration: 5+Ro...

Re: Suggestions for a magical disguise
The troubadour is passing as a non-adept, so he needs an illusion of a simple Pattern. Some wizard spells seem to do it - power mask and wizard's cloak. Disguise self specifically says that it only affects appearance. I think it is a bit of a grey area, if only because part of me wants it to trick t...
