Re: [3ED] Tracking, Evidence Analysis and Experience Death
1. IIRC, Tracking allows you to track the target for one hour without making another roll (I could be wrong or out of date here). As long as the actions were all done in that time frame, I'd say you're good. 2. I always think of Evidence Analysis as the CSI Talent; it lets you pick up on minor clues...

Re: Happy Holidays
If you cast Journey to Life on it, you should be back in time to use the text for next year too.

Re: Earthdawn: Fourth Edition coming in 2014
I could delve into a lot of statements about patience and waiting for quality and so on, but I believe these have already been said before. The project has not been abandoned, it is in progress; as long as we get enough updates to know this, then there should be no problems. Any deadlines given are ...

The PDF for the Player's Guide will be out by year's end (hopefully sooner). If it isn't there will be blood. I will track down the missing art and draw it myself with the blood of slacking artists. It won't be as pretty, but it will make a statement. I think you just got inspiration to start expan...

Re: number of daily karma points
I'm with Roth on this one. The motivations that drive the choices a player makes for their character are entirely up to them. You can make it based on narrative roles, but by no means does that mean you should . The decision is all up to the player, and not only do I think it's wrong to tell them wh...

Re: When will Earthdawn 4 be available?
Just finally catching up on posts, and I'd like to send my well wishes along as well. Personally, I'm okay if ED4 is delayed a little bit. I do have a campaign I want to get started, but I've got plans to remodel my downstairs room which will become my new gaming den, and that's most likely not goin...

Re: Group Adventuring Logs
I don't do fully written out journal entries for everything, but I do have all of my shorthand notes since I started playing. I started with a large, three subject notebook, and I'm into the third section now. My system is to write out any notes for the day on the front of the page, then total LP's ...

Re: Demo Kit
Of course, I'm biased with insider info, but I believe it's going to come down a lot to what particular type of game people choose to run. 1879 has two different worlds to play in, and while I can see the anticipation that the Priest and Shaman won't have as big of an impact in Victorian London as s...

Also, it's not like they put price tags on all the items in the actual shop. In character, the item is out on display, and to get the price you have to ask the shopkeep, at which point they're free to say whatever they want. The standard prices listed in the book are just the average of what the mar...

Re: Bestiary
Check Creatures of Barsaive if you're looking for a single standard book; it's old, but the information inside is still relevant and it's all done as narrative, so it's a good read on its own. As for upcoming plans, I haven't heard that a revised creatures book is planned at this point, though I ima...
