Re: [ED4] Ritual spells and additionnal threads
Just thought of another question in relation to ritual spells. A grimoire can be attuned only for a few minutes (an hour at most). It's more than enough to cast a normal spell, but what about ritual spells ? Does that mean those spells are too complex to be cast using grimoires ? It's kinda strange,...

Re: [ED4] Ritual spells and additionnal threads
At dawn each day for a week, the magician spends half an hour inscribing a small design on the weapon, using a drop of his own blood. He weaves the first spell thread at the end of the week. The magician then spends half an hour at dawn each day for another week, inscribing a scar of the same desig...

[ED4] Ritual spells and additionnal threads
Need some clarifications with the ritual spells. Some of the spells need more time to weave the threads, be it one thread par hour, to even one thread per week for Weapon back for example. What happens with those when you use additionnal thread ? Casting Weapon back with 2 additionnal thread (to rei...

Re: Illusion talents confusion
For the record, I really hate how after the first time an Illusionist uses Dead Fall to get away, from then on it's "We cut off his head to make sure." (Of course, I'm leery of the "Kill 'em all" approach to solving problems with other Namegivers in general.) We had one of the b...

Re: Panda Gaming Grove Discussion
Thanks a lot for your input on every single spell, Panda. It must have been a lot of work for you to do, but it's really nice, because it gives us insight as to why a spell was changed (or not). For those of us who tweak things and do many house-rules, it gives us the knowledge needed not to make a ...

Re: ED4: Thread Weaving for Spells
A little question about spell duration and extra-successes. Some spells (like Air Armor for example), have a duration in rounds, which can be extended to minutes with an additionnal thread. The extra successes on some of those spells is "Duration (+2 rounds)". If you weave the additionnal ...

Re: Summoning a teacher
I wouldn't say that it would be abusive to be able to get training in those aspects by a spirit. Remember that just being able to summon the spirit isn't enough. First you need to get the required knowledge to summon a spirit who knows what you want to learn (might be hard depending on what you're l...

Re: Eleventh Hour Preview: Wizard
For matrices, we have a houserule in our games. Magicians get only one matrix talent for each type. This talent also gives them the ability to create other matrix of this type. So for example, once a magician learns Enhanced Matrix, he get one enhanced matrix of the talent level, and can for some LP...

Re: Let's Talk About Forge
The problem, with it being the same time whatever the kind of weapon, is for dual-wielders. They'd need twice the time to get their weapons forged. It's therefore better for a character to use two-handed weapons than to dual wield. Giving an advantage here to two-handed over dual wielding is not a b...

Re: Questions about Travar, Elven Nations, Questors, & Metap
As the question was asked on the kickstarter comments, will Elven Nation talk about the Great Elves, as some of them seem to be quite prominent in the elven nations: Alachia of course, Caimbueul as Sereatha's ambassador, ... ? And the elven history seems to be quite affected from that too, with the ...
