Re: Update to old material
I would like to see Ardanyan's Revenge updated because it is the best adventure to introduce new players into fantastic world of Earthdawn :) I'm currently running Ardanyan's Revenge on Roll20 from the Kaer Dweller perspective, since I have 3 PC's that are new to ED. I started them off at 1st Circl...

Re: Sticky combat vs Mounted combat
I was thinking about this whole issue of fleeing combat and sticky movement. The situations I think that are trying to be addressed here are: someone is attempting to move past (within 2 yards of) someone who does not want them to pass person wants to disengage from melee combat For these examples,...

Re: Fourth Edition House Rules
I've collected our house rules into a document:

Many of them are preference, experience, or cribbed from these forums. Still stress testing them, and adding when we find issues.

Re: Sticky combat vs Mounted combat
At the end of the day, every group will gravitate towards house rules that they feel best fit their desires in gameplay. This may lead to balance issues, but who cares, ultimate goal is for group to have fun. Facing is a particularly weird thing in ED. RAW, your facing only matters when an action i...

Re: Sticky combat vs Mounted combat
Dougansf, The way we play is: Withdrawing from combat looking at opponent halves your movement, if you're not looking you're Blindsided. So if you want to withdraw and move to safety you need to use Standard Action for additional move (also halved). But moving past them is okay, so long as the move...

Re: Sticky combat vs Mounted combat
Ugh ... different strokes for different folks, but I would fight tooth and nail against adding an Attack of Opportunity to Earthdawn ... I'm actually trying to avoid any roll at all. Climbing onto my soap box here a bit: I continually find that people seem to focus pretty tightly on the 'realism' o...

You might want to check this link: http://www.fasagames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1600&hilit=mount+speed&start=20#p16871 Thanks, I'll give it a good look. I got 2 Cavalryman in our team, I was GMing for them for many years (6+ now). When I got my hands on 4ed I changed a bit rules,...

Re: Sticky combat vs Mounted combat
Thanks. That was something we considered.
Though that then segues into oddities like a Dyre attacking without a rider. Or a Windling on a mount. Does it become a size issue instead of a mounted issue?

Re: Sticky combat vs Mounted combat
I know this may be anathema to the mentality of the system, but I'm trying to avoid adding another roll to the situation.

Sticky combat vs Mounted combat
I'm looking for an expert on the Cavalryman discipline, and thus Mounted Combat. My group is working on a house rule to add "Sticky Movement" to the game. It would make hexes around an enemy "difficult terrain," thus double the cost of movement to leave the space. I was concerned...
