Re: Swordmaster Preview!
Is First Impression still once ever per target? I've never played with the social talents, but this always seemed to be really limited to me. And certainly not something I'd want as a required discipline talent. I would think that Impressive Display might make more sense as a Swordmaster Disipline T...

Re: Let's Talk About Forge
Obviously the Throalic calendar brought us the weekend. I liked the elegance of ED3, where it was all based on weapon size. I built an excel sheet to do the calculations quick for Forging or Crafting. But if the max bonus is only based off of Rank (which like better to keep the Talent useful) ...

Re: Let's Talk About Forge
So any update on my questions above about 1. How much of each day must be dedicated to forging 8 hours, 16 hours? 2. Can the weapon smith be doing other things like item history, manning his store, hanging out at the bar, training, teaching, handling other forge business, etc...? 3.. Can he only wo...

Re: Eleventh Hour Preview: Wizard
Even in a Safe region, Raw casting can hurt and possibly kill you. Unlikely, but open ending dice are a bitch that way. :D I look at it this way: At this point of the timeline, Matrixes are required teaching. While they may have been adapted from other methods, over the hundreds of years since then,...

Re: Let's Talk About Forge
The +1 per use thing is a legacy mechanic... that's probably the one thing that all versions of the talent have had in common over the years. I'll have a look at making the bonus from a single test equal to the number of successes -- up to the normal maximum allowed based on the rank. This would pu...

Re: Let's Talk About Forge
Gkeckley has a great point. When I played a Weaponsmith in 3E I was also the team Item History source, so I was burning the midnight oil during downtime to get both jobs done. On top of which is the fact that 1 week only gains you 1 extra damage, no matter what your rank is. Why not make the TN equa...

Re: Renaming Direction Sense
I get what you're saying, so Mystic Tracking could be fairly apt name as you're more or less divining location through an object related (either is part of or belongs to) a person, place, or thing. More or less you're tracking their pattern but with much less specificity to regular tracking. Right....

Re: Eleventh Hour Preview: Wizard
The wizard is going to get Haggle? I never saw that as part of their make up. What is the justification other than relying on it to help them lessen the costs of getting information/books with heretofore unknown knowledge as that is their goal of truth finding. I totally agree, I just don't see Hag...

Re: Renaming Direction Sense
There's already a tracking talent, i think it's just tracking which basically is for the scout and has foot prints that light up IIRC. Direction Arrow/Sense allows someone to get to the person (and additionally place/thing) without seeing tracks. So when you get close enough, you could then see if ...

Re: Renaming Direction Sense
I was all for Mystic Tracking, until you pointed out that it wasn't a Sustained action (which it totally should be).
