Do the karma changes make karma cheaper/free to attain? Karma does not cost legend points to purchase. So about how big a karma pool are you thinking? 10 karma per circle, refreshes after every encounter? 1 per circle, refreshes every day? For what can you use karma? Every talent? Every second tale...

IMO you can discuss about rule changes all day long but new gamers will buy Earthdawn because of the story, the setting, maybe the art but not 'cause of a highly developed rule system. Old players will buy ED4 anyway or they are lost to the game since some time. Everybody has his or her own opinion ...

Do you plan on altering just some disciplines or will you redo all of them? How much change is coming?

I would like something new for every disciplin. Some motivation to once again play with all the disciplines I have already tried before. (There aren't so many left.)

Isn't the durability vs HP problem the most easy one to fix/house rule?
Just give every disciplin an additional talent at circle 2: durability, which the adepts have to raise in the well known way...
