Re: Temperature and Air

I'm not sure that the Temperature Talent builds like that. But pretending that it does for the moment, what would this gain an Elementalist? They already have the power of cold in several different flavors. It sort of like saying, I can use this slow and primitive method to reproduce an affect that ...

Re: horror stalker discipline question

Bonus question: How can a Horror Stalker stalk a Horror? Let's say he just defeated/ killed a Horror-marked foe and now wants to track and kill the Horror who marked the Namegiver - how can he do that? That's an easy one, or at least it use to be. Horror stalkers may also use the Bear Mark talent t...

Re: fireblood

Galafrone don't forget that Fireblood can be used to Heal Wounds as well if you get the proper talent knacks. It gives the player to use all of his recovery tests without any limitations that you'd normally have. No hour wait in between most importantly. It has be balanced with decreasing effectiven...

Re: horror stalker discipline question

I'm not sure how many of these survived into 3rd Edition. The Living emeralds come from the SkyTree River in the Servos Jungle, it was part of the Book of Exploration in 1st Edition. The ButterSpider Box came from Parlainth Box Set books in 1st Edition. I always say it backwards, not sure why. It's ...

Re: horror stalker discipline question

Right, but the Talent Knack allows someone else with the Talent to use it on the victim to save them rather than them learning the talent themselves. My point is that as a gamemaster you have at your disposal any number of ways to handle the Horror Mark depending on how you want the adventure to go....

Re: horror stalker discipline question

Galafrone in my games there were several Bear Mark Talent knacks that I added because the Horror Stalkers were a lot more integral to my story lines. This was during first and second edition days, so I'm not even sure if Bear Mark is still a discipline talent for them in 3rd Edition. If it is, in my...

Re: horror stalker discipline question

Well a Horror Mark is a gateway for the Horror. If they are within 10 miles of the player they can cast any spell and use any power they have to affect the marked player. Additionally a dual natured Horror like the one you are dealing with has the ability to convert the player into a Horror Construc...

Re: horror stalker discipline question

I think you need to look at the problem in a different way. Would a Horror allow a Marked Character learn a discipline dedicated to the destruction of Horrors? The obvious answer is no. The Horror Mark gives the Horror direct access to a players plans and plots, so it's a lot more likely that the Ho...

Re: Talents and Astral/Spirit Mount

I'm curious where you were headed with this one GentlemanLoser. Since a Calvaryman requires a living mount to avoid talent crisis, do you have a player that is trying to avoid having a mount all together? That's a little like a Archer not using missile weapons. Or is it more of a craven attempt to a...
