Re: The obligatory skill
Half their karma per encounter? Good grief. That seems like WAY too much, even when characters have more ways to spend it. You're essentially saying that characters are, at all power levels, inadequate and can only accomplish their goals by constantly relying on a pool of bonus dice. Oh, I don't HA...

Half their karma per encounter? Good grief. That seems like WAY too much, even when characters have more ways to spend it. I'm playing an Archer in a Cathay game, and I routinely go through ALL of my Karma in a single encounter. Between True Shot and Flame Arrow, I average a minimum of three Karma ...

Re: The obligatory skill
Since the Adept's maximum Karma is their racial Karma Modifier multiplied by their Karma Ritual Rank, technically, an Adept without Karma Ritual would have no Karma to begin with, since any number multiplied by zero is zero. However, Karma Ritual, along with Thread Weaving, are supposed to be the ve...

Re: [Ed3] Water in astral, Splitting movement
I probably would not allow use of the bonus attack from Air Dance, since the idea of splitting movement is to back away/retreat rather than press an advantage. Nothing else comes to mind as something I would disallow, though. The rules for the bonus Air Dance attack state that it happens after the ...

Re: Kaer Essentials
Can you cite a page number for this? I have a hard time believing it. Logically, at least a few of the larger Kaers and Citadels had to have had enough room for at least a small airboat, otherwise the Air Sailor Discipline would have all but died out during the Scourge. Plus, if you don't have Wind...

Re: Faster Combat
Hi James, how do you cope with the movement ? I.e. do you allow ýour players to move in blind sighted position when engaged in melee? I don't let the character in question get the blindside bonus just for dancing around their enemy. The guy still knows that you're there, so unless something else is...

But it is still important to note that the Journeyman must always choose Karma Ritual as an advancement Talent, even though he has a few Circles before he can use it at his leisure.

Why can't they just use the Talent every day when they wake up? Doesn't seem like they really need to develop a Knack for extending the duration...

Re: Languages and reading fs player's guide
Yeah I'd like to see a group of players really embrace some of the archaic tech and really run with it. My players went straight for blasters and grenade. :) Two of my players went downright mendicant with their characters (an Ukari Jox Kai Von boxer and an Obun Eskatonic with no combat skills to s...
