Re: Momentum Attack vs Second Attack
Another thing to think about (a bit power gaming, but fun ;) ): 2nd attack is restricted to an additional attack with the same weapon. Momentum attack does not have such a restriction (at least not in the description). Does this mean i could make 1. a shield charge attack, 2. get a good result and ...

Re: Wizards Cloak?Invisibility,silence&deoderant rolled into
IF you play with LP to buy spells, there'll eventually be a point where they' cost won't be noteworthy any more and it'll be wise to have the spell handy just in case. A lot of the lower-circle spells stay useful all throughout the game. At about 4th Circle, maybe not yet. But you'll be getting into...

Re: Difficulty number 1
Still matters for Result Levels.
Auto-succeeding on your Taunt doesn't mean anything, except if you say that someone reduced to 1 automatically suffers the worst effects (e.g. Extraordinary Result).

Re: Blood promise
This goes into the philosophical, but if it's broken, it's broken, doesn't exist any more. Why would the other party be bound to it? Granted, the rules don't make that very clear. However, you can also set parameters for how it works to choose the role such blood magic plays in your games. If the ot...

Re: Difficulty number 1
I don't think we even included it in the calculations. I imagine if you just shift the DN2 entry by one column, or use something similar, it'll be okay. (By comparison, DN1 hasn't ever come up for me. Though there's always been a semi-official "minimum defense is 2" rule around [even when ...

Re: Difficulty number 1
There's a DN1, but the math for it is wonky because of the rule of ones and how the odds are determined.

Re: Rules Question: Creatures and number of actions
You're right.
Movement is just a Simple Action, but its limited to one use per round.
Having several Standard Actions doesn't multiply that.

Re: Rules Question: Versatility
You can, but the bonuses always come from your own first Discipline. So, your human Wizard can learn Durability from a Warrior via Versatility, but he'll still only get 4/3. Essentially, Versatility gives you extra Talent Options to choose, they're just not called that, because you can choose all ta...

1) No benefits normally, though special rules for the creature may allow special moves.
2) Examples include mental actions line Steel Though or social stuff like Taunt, some of those might also help to break free.

Re: Momentum Attack vs Second Attack
Multi-Strike: You resolve an entire attack, interrupting is not much of an issue. (We've gone into a lot of detail with the actions in ED3, but they're still mostly about how many you got). For example, in a normal attack, you make the attack test, then damage test, and then any other tests such as ...
