Re: Fourth Edtional Changes and this Forum

I suppose there is no way to get the non-art .pdf to get started and have it updated to the full-pdf later on? Obviously you'll have to provide a way for people to get their updated .pdfs as erratas etc. are released and lead to updates of the text ... might as well get some money a bit earlier on f...

Re: disciplines beyond the player book

Speaking official rules and all that: I've been wondering lately whether the upcoming book will feature conversation rules for 3rd to 4th edition characters. Besides my personally issues with the Liberator discipline, the other chars of my group will have to converted as well - with the way durabili...

Re: disciplines beyond the player book

Thanks, once more, for taking the time to provide just detailed and carefully thought through feedback. One question in regard to talent knacks: providing a player with a talent knack does not ban him/her from using the talent in its original form, or? To give an example: If I would have learned the...

Re: disciplines beyond the player book

Thanks for clarifying! I'd personally opt for no streetwise and dura 7 then. (what about the 'Karma: Gathering information related to an injustice.' part? Does every discipline get some area of expertise they can karma on?)

Re: disciplines beyond the player book

My GM and I have had a meeting now and spent some time sketching out our idea of a 4th edition liberator. Before I unleash a variety of questions / explanations in regard to our talent picks, here’s the jist of what we came up with: Talent options (1-4): Air Speaking, Awareness, Conceal Object, Disg...

Re: disciplines beyond the player book

First of all: Thanks a ton, Panda, for all the work you've put into thinking about the Liberator. I am quite happy that my rambling sparked such a constructive process. I have two primary concerns with your suggestion, though: a) I assume not all talents are official 4th edition talents, or? (I am f...

Re: disciplines beyond the player book

Two thumbs up for that. If there is any way to help out (proofreading or so), just let me know. /edit: I just reread the Discipline Combination description of the Liberator of the 3rd edition. Funny thing: Troubadour, Swordmaster and Sky Raider are all named as usually not going well along with the ...

Re: disciplines beyond the player book

Thanks a lot for your input! Your description of the existing talents made my day. To be honest, the whole 'fight the power' thing is what brought me to the liberator discipline in the first place and I still very much like the concept. The obvious issue is that, given that we are not a slavery-focu...

Re: disciplines beyond the player book

I might have to recreate the Liberator discipline to be able to continue playing my Earthdawn character once our group makes the transition. Accordingly, I have a few questions to those that are more in-the-know concerning the upcoming 4th edition: ⋅ What discipline, in your humble opinion...
