Re: Eleventh Hour Preview: Wizard

But in 3rd Edition you can have knacks to non-discipline talents. For discipline talents rank required for them is lowered by 2. Thanks, was not aware of that. I have some 3rd Edition books for reference purposes, but I am familiar and play with Classic. EDC has the Independent Talent Knacks option...

Re: Preview #5 - Spells

ED3R changed measurements back from hexes to yards, and made a note of the battle map conversion in the Combat chapter (ED3R Player's Guide, p.242) and under Movement Rate in the Characters chapter (p.38).

Re: Questions about Travar, Elven Nations, Questors, & Metap

Another question: Where did you get the number of people in Travar from? Gamemaster's Compendium p.30 (I'm going to assume this is a reference to the Classic material, which i don't own. I just have some of the collected references.) • Population ca. 95,000 with wide range of wealth Yeah, that's fr...

Re: 4th Ed. Skills What do we know....

Great Thanks! What about starting? How many ranks do you get and are their any limiters? 8 Rank Points (Ranks) spread over Language, General, Knowledge, and Artisan skills. Maximum of Rank 3. Some free Ranks in Language, Knowledge, and Artisan skills as well. So all up, about 13 Ranks in skills to ...

Re: 4th Ed. Skills What do we know....

Do they progress on the same LP cost as in 1st ed? I don't have a lot of 3rd ed experience but I want to potentially chime in here. Anyone that could educate me please? Yes they do. 200, 300, 500, etc. The difference between ED1 and ED3 is in the time required to learn skills. It's more forgiving i...

Re: Sourcebooks referenced in the Revised Player guide

Currently you will find that same information in the ED3 Player's Companion, Rotor. ED3R was moving back towards ED1 book structures, which is why those references are there. For ED4, we're all unsure of content, but if you want detail, you should be good by adding the Player's Companion. The only G...

Re: Seeking some feedback on a possible ED4 change

Thoughts/feedback/call it what you will: Drop UR. Treat Strain as non-lethal and track in a separate box (stun damage or similar can add to this total). Lethal damage => DR = dead baby Combined damage => DR = unconscious baby There's a little math involved (adding the totals), but not a lot. It's no...
