Also, could the Weaponsmith make the bonus to a weapon permanent by spending Karma and/or LP ?
For example, a permanent bonus of 3 could cost 100+200+300 LP and/or 1+2+3 Karma points.

I must admit I had this idea because of a friend playing a Warrior. He's not very lucky with dices so I wanted to give him some kind of edge when fighting because he is famed for being a "hit points pool" for the group in any RPG. He always takes most of the damage, and often misses enemie...

Never used the spirits and summoning, it seemed to add complexity at the expense of fun and it looked very very powerful, too powerful.
I could have some ideas to make that more playable if a player wants to use them.

Ooh, that could be bad on a down ended roll. Shift the wrong way and not only do you take damage on that hit, you leave yourself open to get pummeled by everyone else that round. Well, I didn't create any crazy house rules but I had a house rule that I found interesting.
If you use Avoid Blow but don't success, your result becomes your Physical Defense, thus you can still be hit but nullify an armor-defeating hit.
