Re: Official Release!
The GM guide is in galley proof. Editorial is working on it. It kind of got Pottered ... pushed back in the schedule to make way for more popular stuff like Fading Suns. Once it's out of editorial, we have to lay in the artwork, and then it's going to press.

Music for 1879

Re: Official Release!
It's in galley proof right now. Once it comes back from editorial, we'll start laying in the artwork. Figure another few weeks before the PDF is out, and four to six weeks after that before it comes back to the printer.

Re: Thanksgiving
Probably room for at least one company to offer gourmand tours of the Gruv. Depart from Greenwich Station in convenience and comfort to sample the delights of an entire new world! Re: Thanksgiving
Importing biological material from the Grosvenor World to Earth has been rigidly controlled, becoming even tighter since the discovery of splithee and its nasty addictive effects. May be a bit before we see Gruv delicacies coming to the Terrestrial dinner table.

1879 RPG Players Guide: References
This topic is for discussing the historical and current cultural references made in the 1879 Players Guide. There's a lot of Easter Eggs in the book, some more obvious than others.

Re: Character sheet
The character sheet is posted in the free downloads section at http://1879.fasagames.com. We decided it was better to post it as a free download, to get a full-sized character sheet, than try to reduce it to the digest size of the book.

Re: Game Play and Rules Questions
1: I see rules for joining a melee, but is it possible to fire into a melee? We had the opportunity come up a few times during the game, but didn't allow it as we couldn't find a specific rule for doing so. If you fire into a melee, all Hits scored are divided evenly between the sides involved. If ...

Re: Game Play and Rules Questions
1: The section on designing models states that a model gets one attack regardless of how many melee weapons it carries, but there are some models that specifically have the "2/3 melee attacks" special quality (some commanders, cavalry lancers, etc). Do such models always get to make multi...
