Re: We're going to need a bigger Step table
There were a few reasons behind bringing back the D4 and D20. The two largest factors were popular demand and (in the case of the D20) reducing the very large pools of dice (as etherial indicated). Popular demand was naturally tempered by a desire for a more normal distribution in the affected areas...

Re: Panda Gaming Grove Discussion
This is good to hear. Honestly, updates will be based primarily on feedback from using it in play at this point. Which is pretty much true of every unofficial discipline which I post. Epiphanies, reasonable arguments, and mechanical interactions notwithstanding, of course. If anyone does end up usin...

It still only applies to Death and Unconsciousness Ratings.

Re: [3ED] Sparrow Sings to the Sky
Oh, yeah. That spell has some problems. Direction Sense allows you to find objects in addition to people and you do not need to know their Name, however you are probably supposed to have some item related to the target, but only Direction Arrow actually requires this. Direction Sense only requires t...

Re: Panda Gaming Grove Discussion
1) A "full day" tends to mean 8 hours. Which was changed for the Forge talents, but apparently not the others. Since it is effectively done during downtime, I don't think there is much practical difference from requiring the spirit to be summoned during the time to simply meditating and co...

Re: [ED4] Ritual spells and additionnal threads
Certainly a reasonable request. While this can stand as a clarification or errata for now, my goal is to have a larger discussion regarding ritual spells in a future book which will put these essential points in a release. As to the other "thing"... I don't really know if you should fear f...

Re: [ED4] Ritual spells and additionnal threads
Tattered Rags, are you implying I would start an Earthdawn game and run players through emotional turmoil for three years just to pull some cheap Max Max Beyond Thunderdome reference on them? This is a rather pointed accusation, don't you think? Completely accurate, but that aside, rather pointed. S...

Re: Converting 3rd Ed Disciplines to 4th Ed
This is very astute of you. While it will not apply to all of the spells which were not carried forward, there were reasons for each, it most definitely does apply to a certain section of them. Beyond this, they will almost certainly see a lot of entirely new spells.

Re: Converting 3rd Ed Disciplines to 4th Ed
I started on the Shaman a while back. It is going to take a considerable amount of time since it is a project in my spare time and requires a full spell list, which is very time consuming. I currently have no plans for the Journeyman.

Re: Converting 3rd Ed Disciplines to 4th Ed
It was pretty much my plan to start in such a fashion. Though there are some disciplines which I don't foresee ever making the cut unless there is a bolt of inspiration which identifies why they should exist. Beastlord, Pugilist, and Samurai are at the top of this list. Sorcerer is going to be kicke...
