Yeah, it's still 6+. I was also surprised that the Difficulty for tying to Thread Items is standardized rather than based on the Mystic Defense, though I don't have any earlier editions on me to verify whether that was the case before. Page 434, Thrown Weapons are headered "Short Rng" and "Long Rng" while Missile Weapons simply read "SR" and "LR".
And, honestly, it looks like the full word "Range" might even fit instead of "Rng", but that's something else entirely.

Missing Bookmark in PDF
Just a note: there doesn't seem to be a bookmark leading to the Missile Weapons Table in the PDF. There are bookmarks leading directly to the Melee and Thrown Weapons tables.
