Re: Animal training and war mounts

A) The skill use of Animal training is now a day and not a week. Is this normal? Not only from previous editions, but also from a reality standpoint. Is it possible to train a dog to fetch in one day? I think it depends on the animal and the command to be taught. Every trick I taught to my dog was ...

Re: Obsidimen and sex

While I agree an Obsidimen could use those said talent/skills, I feel the opposite very unlikely. I hardly see how an obsidimen could be attracted toward someone else. Even toward another obsidimen. Yes, they could have feelings for others (like friendship and love) but nothing would get physical. S...

If I didn't pledge for the GM guide hard cover, will I be able to order it?

Re: GNL Mats Kickstarter

I would, but unless I back 70$ or more (which I won't) they won't chip to Canada.

Why some mysteries are left unanswered?

I just read the section "What has come before" from the GM guide preview. (Thanks for that, by the way) There is some questions that are left unanswered in it. For exemple, what triggered the conflict in Harwood between the merchant caravan and the theran patrol? Or why the elven Queen ord...

Re: Earthdawn: Fourth Edition coming in 2014

The more I've thought about it, the more I'm not a fan of random encounters. The purpose of a random encounter seems to be to break up the monotony of travel between two points or while exploring an area that has nothing to offer other than something that want's to eat the characters, just because....

Re: Earthdawn: Fourth Edition coming in 2014

I have to admit, I am not a fan of the "random encounter"... at least in the classic AD&D "as the party is traveling through the woods, roll on this table to see what shows up to try and eat them." I suppose for "sandbox" style play it can work... but I'm not keen ...

Re: Earthdawn: Fourth Edition coming in 2014

One challenge I have with GMing Earthdawn is picking up random encounter. Since I don't know the stats of every beast, I tend to rely on the "Legend Award" to gauge the challenge rating of a creature. But you're right Mataxes about the circles. My players are much much more powerful than t...
