Re: Earthdawn: Fourth Edition coming in 2014
Just a quick suggestion. One of the things that always irked me with 3rd edition was how Durability was a choice talent. To me this should be a default talent that is or isn't discipline to all disciplines. It makes no sense to have players have to choose between it and another talent for 2nd circle...

Re: ED4 Preview #1
loving it so far. could you do a sample combat where armor is affected? I know traditionally if armor applies you just do damage over the armor value otherwise it's absorbed. So how does it work now?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Setting or system?
I love, love, love, the setting. But I also love the rules and how they are interwoven into the setting providing a mechanic to they why things are the way the way they are. I never found the system too "Crunchy" or whatever. I love building a character for over an hour (stats aren't the o...

Re: Barsaive at War question
The ship's appearance was a headscratcher to be sure. It was just way to fast. If it got it's own book, that would have rocked b/c you could have made adventure hooks for places all over, particularly Central/South America for the Mezo-american peoples (Mayans, Incans, Toltecs, Olmecs, Aztecs, etc)...

Re: Earthdawn: Fourth Edition coming in 2014
Stormcrow, Wow! Your post echoes everything I've been feeling about RB/FASA Games for the last few years. I mean to the letter. Mataxes, one thing I think many people would like to see, especially after wading through the 13 pages on RPG.net, the posts here, and on the ED Comopendium, as well as my ...

Re: Barsaive at War question
I'm going with the appearance of the Earthdawn being so abrupt and the death of Vasdjenas (sp?). I fell in love with that dragon due to Creatures of Barsaive -- see cave crab. It's probably one of the best written source books as it's a "Monstrous Manual" but with character and heart and e...

Re: Earthdawn: Fourth Edition coming in 2014
Thank you for the announcement and the follow-up blog post. It encourages me. I eagerly await more information. I would like to say I'm sad I missed the open writer's call. I've been super busy at work and without a group to play with I've only been coming here occasionally to get news on the game. ...

Re: EDR Planned Products?
With the announcement, does this mean you'll be skipping over the "Barsaive at War" bit after "Prelude to War?" I'm all for new books, but will any of the existing 3rd ed. Texts be brought up to pace with 4th ed? With it being so many years since a "new" book as you pu...

Re: EDR Planned Products?
Seeing the Blue Planet announcement, that does not give me great hope. Why's that? Because it was a negative annoucement. So, 4th edition is coming out? Now my EDR player's guide is worthless? I spent $30 on a book I can't use. Thanks FASA. That's kinda why I didn't buy it or the other released EDR...
