Re: Running the War Trilogy
I GM'd the entire trilogy with my group several years ago. I stuck to the overall story, with some minor deviations. Just some general tips really: --Keep the looming threat of the Therans in the atmosphere. Let them know this is truly a war and the Therans have a very good chance of winning. Make t...

Re: Steel thought
As said, it's a snafu in the rules. The player gets to chose. In addition I would say that if the attempt is successful, the character is aware someone tried to target him with magic.

Re: Monks and Steel Thought, an oversight?
A focus on offense? I am more seeing agility and average fighter, especially compared to the Purifier and Pugilist, the other unarmed Disciplines. The offense part of the monk is underwhelming compared to those. Which is good, as the fluff clearly states this is not primarily a combat Discipline (ev...

Monks and Steel Thought, an oversight?
I just made a monk character. I noticed perception is a low priority attribute and thus ended up with a base spell defense of 7, not impressive. Then I looked around for talents helping with that, and found none. This struck me as odd, as I would expect a talent like Steel Thought to be available to...

Re: Obsidianman Armor
Indeed, like that stone net armor. It's not living, but Obsidimen wear it. Dirt cheap, good protection, but extremely heavy and high init penalty. Fits the theme of the Obsidimen perfectly in my opinion.
