Re: About charge and weapons
That would, at least, explain why a cavalrymen would consider risking the fallback. But I still prefer the pierce type to resolve this, even if that rule is way more involving.

Re: About charge and weapons
When you are riding a horse you can use a weapon that would be two handed for you as one handed and so a shield can be used. People on foot can not use large sized weapons without two hands. The mounted person can. This is the advantage for mounted combat. A larger weapon does more damage. The broa...

Re: About charge and weapons
I'm kinda disappointed here... #1 A rule that come straight from ED1 doesn't make it less stupid. In fact, the main reason why ED is now up to a 4th edition is exactly because the first edition wasn't perfect. #2 Perhaps there's some jousting reasons behind it, or even actual facts, but it doesn't m...

About charge and weapons
Hi again, I have a question about charge and weapons. On page 396 : If the test fails, a rider using a spear or lance-type weapon is thrown from his mount, suffering Step 5/D8 of damage and becoming knocked down. A rider using a shorter melee weapon like a sword or mace loses his weapon. Unarmed rid...

Re: Sea Snake & Leatherworking
since shields give physical/mystical bonus, it should on itself be enough. Just remove that avoid blow bonus which makes no sense. Also, stop with funky rules like Skora. There's no Skora in ED4, and it wont make it to ED4 either.

Re: Sea Snake & Leatherworking
Ahoy Mateys! The glorious crew of my ship were able to kill a Sea Snake during the last playsession (we're only circle 2, so we were somewhat proud of our achievement). My T'skrang was bitten into his tail quite badly by the beast and would now like to have a leatherworker produce a tail-protection...

Re: karma use and other questions in 4th ed
Seems to me I was wrong on the damage example, since you can't use more than 1 karma per source. This should have been included into the core rules. You have basically a maximum of 2 karma dice per roll, unless you get a magical item that allows you to roll karma (hence a 3rd source apart from disci...
