I don't like this approach... not at all! It's better to graft another stat. Sorry if I sound too much L5R, but the corruption stat should only go up, and seperated from attributes.

The last comment makes me wonder... if this is all still nebulous, and you want to playtest this, does it mean we'll have to wait another year before the GM is out?

Feels like L5R taint, which is a pretty cool effect in that setting. I would point out 2 things : #1 The corruption level should not be hidden to players. Perhaps hidden from characters, but not players. I'm not a "screen-GM" type and I don't appreciate as a player as much as a GM to hide ...

I found it strange that a predator like a griffin doesn't have the "hunting" skill in previous editions. How can it feed itself in the natural state? Are the listed skills only magical ones (like the felux eye ray)? Finaly, if a skill is a magical one, ain't that the definition of a talent...

@ etherial, i would suggest players to target specific talents, such as speak language, or fireblood, depending on the situation. It should not be treated like a dual discipline, but more like a situation help out.
