Re: A new Developer's Blog? Why yes!
Not going into the details of the previous discussion, but didn't the chances for a knockdown also change with 4e? I cannot remember, though, if they went into the direction of it being easier to accomplish or harder given a certain amount of damage surplus compared to the wound threshold. This shou...

Re: Earthdawn: Fourth Edition coming in 2014
By the way, what happened to the Kickstarter survey to specify which products we actually pledged for with our, well, pledge? Did this already happen and I missed the mail, or is this still upcoming?

Re: Earthdawn: Fourth Edition coming in 2014
Just out of curiosity, what happened to the weekly blog updates? I can understand if you are too busy meeting the deadlines to come up with an elaborate post each week that distracts you from your main goal, finishing the books in time for GenCon, though.

Re: New update -- Creatures!
Some questions: - why is a swarm especially vulnerable to fire? What does this even imply in game mechanics? Shouldn't it rather be vulnerable to area-of-effect attacks? - from the description it sounds that swarm creatures will be hard to hit (at least without hitting the person they are swarming)....

Re: Let's Talk About Forge
ED3 increased the karma step by 1 for very high circles. And Mataxas is probably talking about Circle 15 adepts in his example.

Re: Eleventh Hour Preview: Wizard
Alright, it sounds as if you have a whole mechanic behind this and other chances, not just a one-off rule. I think then I can get behind it. Now, you just need to provide a bit of fluff to motivate these free talents - probably in the line of half-magic - and we could be set. Oh, and as Telarus said...

Re: Eleventh Hour Preview: Wizard
How about this option: The magicians get their 2 free matrices, but they are part of a spell matrix object, say their grimoire or something else their master gives them as a rite of passage, so to speak? A similar rite of passage could give the magician his first enhanced, armored or split matrix at...

Re: Eleventh Hour Preview: Wizard
@Mataxas: You stated, you don't want to make the basic spell slot management more complex. However, I think the currently laid out plans are exactly that. If not too complex, then at least too confusing. The problem is not one of accurate description but of consistency. In a good system, you have so...

@Tattered Rags:
Your last idea with purchaseable abilities seems to be very close to talent knacks, only that they are linked to the discipline and not to specific talent. For the sake of consistency, one could call them "Discipline Knacks".

Re: Swordmaster Preview!
I assume the " Ability: Karma on Interaction tests" means I can spend karma on any test involving interaction; talents, skills, ability score? If yes, doesn't that make every 'interaction based' talent a Discipline talent? No. It's an additional karma. That means you can spend two karma o...
