Re: GM's Guide -- Anything you would like to see?

In the later sourcebooks for 1st edition they had pre generated characters of select disciplines appropriate for the area with multiple circles. And it would show the talent ranks and steps as several different circles. Including increased death and unconscious ratings. It would be nice to have one ...

Creature / Horror Conversion

Still reading all my old books getting ready for 4th Edition. Since several enemies, horrors or dragons for example, have hardened armor or increased resistance to non magical weapons like needing an extraordinary hit to defeat armor for either reason. How will those powers translate into the 4th ru...

Re: Earthdawn Miniatures - KickStarter - advice requested

This is really cool. Pretty excited, make sure to post on here when your Kickstarter goes live. I realy like getting some of the hard to duplicate miniatures. like windling, t'skrang and obsidman. Right now I'm using a Chewbacca for obsidiman and Watta from Phantom menace for a windling. It would be...

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

So, you can go two ways: declare 1 Karma spent, and then if you miss spend 1 Karma at a time until you hit. OR you can declare 10 (say if you have Rank 12), roll all 10 dice with the attack roll looking for Extra Successes, but then if you still miss you have 2 more Karma Dice to burn through. I li...

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

Pg. 201 True Shot The adept makes extremely reliable ranged attacks. True Shot requires at least 1Karma Point to be spent on the test. The adept declares how many Karma Points he is spending, then makes a True Shot test as a ranged Attack test, adding a Karma Die to the test for each Karma Point sp...

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

I told my thief I'd ask this question even though I think I know the answer. Surprise Strike no longer has a +7 to the damage test. I assume this is because of the increased utility of the ability, being able to use it multiple times in combat on blindsided, surprised and knocked down opponents, as ...

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

As a Troll if you use a standard action to double your movement from 14 to 28, can you use Great Leap to jump further than your movement Rate of 14.

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

On delayed and reserved action pg 418. In gray sidebar it talks about the effects this has on talents. I follow the rules until after the example when this is written, "Likewise, if a character is able to use a talent or ability that relies on a higher Initiative, but chooses to delay or reser...

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

The screw up on the example characters was all mine - I can take the credit. This being said, I don't know where the distinction on talent ranks from discipline talents and talent options is coming from. Each was missing one talent rank and they should both already have talent options for First Cir...
