Re: Most Extensive and Crazy Houserules

I've only recently started playing Earthdawn myself, but I've used a somewhat similar mechanic in games such as Legend of the Five Rings and Mechwarrior to go for a bit of a more cinematic feel. (The mechanic I've used is that damage resolves every two/three rounds of combat depending on what game w...

Re: Most Extensive and Crazy Houserules

Something else I would like to try (and this I will play test at our next session): Instead of rolling damage after each attack, the PCs & NPCs record the damage step of each attack that hits (i.e.: step 8, step 9 etc). The player or NPC that wins initiative for the round sets the pace. Each ro...

Re: My new FS Revised game.

So I said I would post my favorite quote from last session, so here it is. (I'll post the full scene later, have just a few minutes before Earthdawn) Solanae backs up until she feels a piece of cold steel against her head. She slowly raises her hands where they can be seen. "You wouldn't shoot ...

Session Update

So we had a great session tonight, we added two new players this evening. New Player Characters Solanae Serande - A slave on the run. She is a woman of seduction and a viper in the grass. But she is also a woman of secrets and personal fears. Sir Angelo Shelit-Decados - Big game hunter extraordinair...

Re: My new FS Revised game.

I'm envious of your group, Antra. I too want to play in this game Well I am still getting used to FSR but I hope to continue to produce a wonderful experience for my players. And I have noticed that FS groups are fewer and far between these days. Is there a possibility for a play-by-post section fo...

Re: My new FS Revised game.

I love it that you've got Reeves characters in your group - those guys are really under represented :) The story sounds like lots of fun! A sort of wild west manhunt. Very cool! That was the feel we were going for. So many FS games I've played or run focus on the Nobility, and to a lesser extent th...

Re: Future Products

I found some interesting artwork for them going through all the art assets. Yeah, I would like to put the stuff from the Player's Companion on the radar after we start getting a nice flow of projects going out the door. Sweet! It has been interesting converting the older stuff from the Players Comp...

My new FS Revised game.

So after the fourth session of our new FS game I thought I would post this. I'm running the game which is set along the frontier of the Known Worlds. It deals a lot with Barbarian space, particularly along the Vuldrok boarder. Player Characters Cmdr Hassan al-Malik - A landless noble who walked away...

Re: Future Products

Hey folks!

Will we be seeing any updated information on the Changed? I haven't really seen any rules for them since HDi's FS Player Companion.

Re: Character vs Starship Weapon damage

I'll try finding a copy of FS3. Just a heads-up on FS3. This one was, for a variety of complicated and painful reasons, never published. It was, however, leaked onto the internet, so know that all FS3 copies you come across are pirated from the contributors' work (I myself wrote about half of FS3)....
