Re: [Ed4] Player's Guide Feedback
The problem with rolling straight charisma versus the spirits SoD is we have no idea what the spirits SoD is going to be in this edition. They are pretty high in previous editions. If a force 1 spirit has a SoD of 10 and the Elementalist/nethermancer has a step 6 charisma and you roll charisma strai...

Re: Panda Gaming Grove Discussion
Are the rules for making a spell matrix and the costs going to be in the game master guide, or do we have to wait until the companion for those rules? Third edition relied on knacks to create them and knacks have not even been introduced into the system yet. I remember there was a faq at one point w...

Re: Starting GM looking for advice
Actually be careful with the Jehuthra fight it can go south really quick if you are using its powers correctly, depending on the party composition. Between the two attacks per round, decent armor, the iron web and frost web powers, a spellcasting step of 14, and an attack step of 13 a TPK is likely ...

Will and Stregth Tests
I posted this question earlier this week, but I never got a response. So, I thought I would try one more time. There are several talents that allow for a will or strength test to shake the effects, such as Frighten and Fearsome Charge. I have always ruled that this test requires a standard action. H...

Re: Fourth Edition Player's Guide Errata and FAQ
There are several talents, spells, entangling weapons, and the grappling test that require either a strength test or willpower test for the opponent to break free. I have always ruled that this requires a standard action. However, I cannot find this anywhere in the book. Am I missing this? With grap...

Re: Panda Gaming Grove Discussion
Thanks. This was definitely helpful. I was pretty much thinking along these lines. I know you stated that this is the first draft and it will probably need some tinkering, but I think it is looking pretty good and I am looking forward to any updates on the discipline.

Re: Fourth Edition Player's Guide Errata and FAQ
For the Woodskin talent you spend a recovery test and make a Woodskin test. The result is added to your health ratings and it lasts rank hours. In the past I always thought that this applied just to unconsciousness rating and death rating. But, in reading page 64 it would seem that technically wound...

Re: Panda Gaming Grove Discussion
I like what you have done with the new Spirit Rider Discipline, but I have some questions. 1). Enhance Animal Companion and Animal Training take a day to use while Spirit mount lasts success level hours. How are these talents supposed to work together? Do you have to successfully keep the spirit aro...

Re: Fourth Edition Player's Guide Errata and FAQ
Another question would be when the Skyraider gets the Battle Shout off does that apply to the Resist Taunt test the wizard can make if he has the talent. Or does he at least get to make the resist roll without the penalty.

Re: Battle Bellow
I disagree. If it does not care about your intent then why does it care when you attempt to harm a member of your group, you immediately take a blood wound and lose the benefits of your threads as your blood peace oath is broken. Also, if for instance you are haggling over the price of your room no ...
