Flying in bad weather.
Flying in bad weather. I am sending my party after the air galleons of thrall now fling an airship in those mountains is inadvisable due to the wind, no problem they don’t have one. What they do have is a windling and the flying carpet spell. What roll would be appropriate for flying in high winds, ...

Re: Down Strike
Ah, defiantly makes sense
With the new description of down strike can the sky raiders still use it while falling on unsuspecting lowlanders? The requirement for solid footing suggests you could not use it while falling.

Re: Down Strike
That is an interesting change in down strike. Means some major changes in tactics for a warrior from previous editions where to use down strike you had to actually move down. No longer needing to bounce up and down means reduced strain expenditure for warriors as gliding stride only costs strain to ...

Re: To mini or not to mini
I don’t usually bother with mins. They are good sometimes but there never big enough to account for archers and I often like to start encounters at long ranges if the terrain is open.

Re: Magic Item Questions
3. Do Blood Charms need anything special to put them on or can anyone just attach it when they find one? Also do blood charms fall off a dead person allowing characters to grab them as loot or treasure? I wouldn’t expect them to fall off but some could be removed by players after death. Some such a...

Re: Crafting arrows and bolts using Craft Weapon Skill

Re: Momentum attack
In the SCA we were taught that a parry is a deflection leaving most of the speed in the opponents weapon and a block was absorbing the energy with our own weapon. In earth dawn the parry skill talent would defiantly include both, wich you use depends on your style and your weapon. It is very difficu...

Re: Co-Operative Actions Mark 2
Breaking cooperation into a few categories of task could get us effective rules, I worry that there will be too many task types. And there will still be a lot of GM judgment in which type is permitted and how many people may assist. First cooperation to reduce time taken. This is easy, divide the co...

Re: firing into water
Generally when my Player Characters were fighting in water in melee they received a -3 penalty to Attack and Damage Tests (This situation actually came up in the Prelude to War quest to raise one of the sunken airships in the river and they came under attack by water elementals summoned by a Theran...
