Re: Durability in ED4

I wonder if death will not be much higher. Older version give you bigger safe margin, as monster have stronger damage and with new rules it can easy be crossed both at once.

Re: Earthskin and similar talents

I see problems on this. But i wait for Players to write more that this :)
Why talent do not have basic protection + success ? It cost Recovery TEST so it should always work. You can not achieve greater protection still get basic protection.

Re: Haggle Skill/Talent

"That's 20th century thinking. In a real barter/haggle economy, the starting price is at least double the customary sale price, if there is one at all" That's general bullshit, it can be true for few places and rarity but common items, please. In general you have rough idea of item worth....

Re: Haggle Skill/Talent

There is tag -. you just got it from seller. And i can not get discount, but making price higher there it was at start make buyer idiot. I can easy go with start price as limit and if i drop price then good to me. "That's 20th century thinking. In a real barter/haggle economy, the starting pric...

Re: Haggle Skill/Talent

For me it make no sense at all. Why anyone want buy stuff more expensive then it was at start ??? Haggle should only be used to drop price not make it more expensive. So this amulet should start from 130 (overprice) and allow adept buy it cheaper if he haggle better merchant. Do you guys ever go sho...

Re: disciplines beyond the player book

Advancement: 1&2 noted, we use 3 so we have talent pool already done: 1-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-15 (but i understand your divide now). Yeah, but legend pool is expanding. Usually each session should give you enough LP to advance 1 talent form current Tier) to next level -> 7 circle Adpet, 7 circle tale...

Re: disciplines beyond the player book

Yes and no. Some talent should be still core. Warrior must have melee weapon or unarmed. So maybe remove more from "discipline slot" to free pool is good idea. Earlier edition make them weaker by doing this :) Anyway thanks for reply, to bad no guideline is done :( We've been doing this s...

Re: disciplines beyond the player book

I like idea of changed disciplines so not everyone is same, but usually testing changes are hard. Warrior -> striker (as it is now) Warrior -> defender (he get few talent for defend party and lower damage threat) Warrior -> berserker (he will lose some defence talent and gain maybe some weaking eff...

Re: disciplines beyond the player book

It's fine. But i think you earlier point some talent are novice, and some higher, so i was hoping that you prepare some guideline how to weight it (as you make changes in 4ed). Thanks for answer, when i have 4ed (i should go to test earlier but do not have time to test on that time:( ). As for rules...

Re: disciplines beyond the player book

This is half of what Distract does, the other half allowing everyone else to abuse the target. The whole of 4E has not been revealed or released yet - it may be a bit premature to comment on all of the mechanical effects it is missing. My question was not this :P It was simple example :D Anyway it'...
