Re: first wound not "free"
Being heroic is not about fighting without problems (any kind), its about fighting on the right side even if it means injuries, Wounds, troubles, misery or death. You get Wounds and you fight even if you get -20 penalty, thats what real heroism is. ... and then, the next morning, you die! Make a pr...

Re: Initiative Replacements
So... a character with, let's say, a 17 Dexterity, but Crystal Plate armor and a Footman's Shield, normally has an Initiative Step of 1. But if they put a point into Danger Sense - which can be learned as a Skill - then in rounds in which they are surprised , they get an Initiative Step of 8? That'...

Re: first wound not "free"
I have to know, how come a recovery test always heal a minimum of 1 (p.381)? Some people think it isn't heroic for Adepts to succumb to their wounds. In a bunch of hero movie, you get somekind of a downtime treatment by a girl cast which ends into a romantic scene. Even heroes need to be treated :P...

Re: Anticipate Blow Vs. Maneuver
Claw shape doesn't substitute, but down strike and Crushing blow substitue. So basically, you can use Claw shape with Down strike, or with Crushing blow, but not both. Also, you cannot stack Down strike with Crushing blow on itself. On that same line of thinking, you could use Shield bash with Crush...

Re: first wound not "free"
I have to know, how come a recovery test always heal a minimum of 1 (p.381)? It makes sense that an heavily wounded namegiver couldn't heal by himself, that he could even die if he's not taken care of. Historically speaking, some people could die days later. Not because the wounds got infected (that...

Re: House Rules: Purifier Update
I would have to see what ED4 has in mind before making comments. Is the purifier still an upcoming discipline for ED4th? On the other hand, that discpline might be accessible in like what, a year (maybe too, considering the current time table) on ED4, so it's pretty nice that you share this, so that...

Re: About Strength Booster
The strength booster is only 300. Your saying your player's have a hard time for 300 silvers?? Wow, your cheap :P But I think Baravakar means to imply that the charm is so bad that no-one actually bought one. For my part, I think that charm is a flaw on itself and should not be made, nor possible to...
