Re: Using Iver
The inquisition is currently interdicting the space jumpgate which would prevent most of the infiltration of "problematic" issues. Remember though, the Incarnates and republican ideals aren't exactly foreign to the Known Worlds. Rampart (although now under the rule by the Li HAlan) and the...

Distributors in Canada
I've been wanting to buy the revised GM and player's book as a friend's birthday present but with S&H, the hardcopy book is over 80$ (not counting the exchange rate!) through the Fasa website. I was wondering if anyone could refer me to a distributor who might have the copy for sale in Canada?

Another book explains interest charges in the Known Worlds range from 20 to 50% (factors being if you are a member of the League, level of risk, etc).
Which I think motivates the Reeves to want to have more coin when their profit margins clearly lie on the loans side as opposed to the savings.

Re: Banks in the empire are backwards...
You have to remember though that the Reeves (and other parties providing a banking service) are NOT a single body, like a modern day corporate bank with branches around the place but essentially a single entity. The Reeves are essentially "sole traders" operating as a Guild. If you deposi...

Re: Banks in the empire are backwards...
Again, the Reeve benefits already by having the money in the bank. Further, it is to the Reeves' incentive for you to not withdraw your money so they have access to a large sum for longer. In your example of the banking script, you have no benefit charging them at deposit than at withdrawal. In fact...

Re: Banks in the empire are backwards...
I'm not arguing the loan system is out of whack, but the deposit/withdrawal system is. The deposit/withdrawal system is what supports the loans, yes. Thus your prerogative is for people to keep as much money in your financial institutions as possible.

Banks in the empire are backwards...
So I was pondering taking a loan in a FS game and couldn't understand how silly the system works. You have to pay to deposit money with banking institutions. The reason this is silly, is that there is less incentive to do so than say if the payment took place during the withdrawal. As a bank, you wa...

Arguably one of the oldest and widest conspiracies dating back to the Fall.

Re: GM Scrren
If you are going to include equipment, might as well put the Firebird equivalencies with those. Goal Bonuses and Penalties should go on page 1 with the skills. If there is lack of room on the page, I'd suggest altering the Sustained Action table to have the examples on the same line as the difficult...
