Re: Swordmaster Preview!
Ah okay. Maneuver is another Swordmasterr Talent considered to be a signature Talent but largely ignored by my players over the years because it meant sacrificing a Standard action (I can hear spellcasters yelling: "now you know how we feel about Threadweaving"!"). If Maneuver is to r...

Re: Swordmaster Preview!
Can someone clarify how Maneuver works now? I read elsewhere that it's changing to a Simple Action. So does that mean you can make a Melee Weapons roll in the same round that you make your Maneuver test? ie Rnd 1Maneuver test + normal Melee Weapons test; Rnd 2 (if not hit by opponent) Melee Weapons ...

Re: Swordmaster Preview!
Go! It's funny that you posted this today because I've been tweaking the Disciplines in my own 3ed game, mainly so they have the same feel/style that they did in 1ed. One of my players and I were talking about the "trademark" combat Talents of the Swordmaster and we both agreed they were ...

Re: Let's Talk About Forge
I like the new Forge Weapon mechanic. Seems balanced (won't know until we give it a test). My only problem I forsee is with the length of time: The ritual takes one week, after which the adept makes a Forge Weapon test against a Difficulty Number 6+ the number of forge enhancements the item currentl...

Re: Eleventh Hour Preview: Wizard
That's kind of where I'm headed. Heh, there's an amusing thought - casting your spells through your teammates...hehe. I can't think of a good reason why it wouldn't expose them to Warping, but it made me laugh. They can't just be "outside", though, or they're going to feel too... piecemea...

Re: Eleventh Hour Preview: Wizard
Maybe Spell Matrices should just be removed as Talents altogether? They were introduced as a solution to problems brought on by the Scourge and aren't really Talents but rather constructs, so why are they classed as part of Spellcasting Disciplines? Why can't they be something outside of the Discipl...

Re: Let's Talk About Forge
I don't mind these changes. They make sense and don't make thread weapons redundant when it comes to damage. Although I always thought the use of the Talent should be broadened. Have you considered making the Talent a little more versatile by using Forge Blade to increase other parts of a weapon? It...

Re: Eleventh Hour Preview: Wizard
I don't agree with giving Wizards (or any Spellcaster) 'free' Spell Matrices. Spell Matrices are effectively blank Talent slots that spellcasters can fill with a different spells as the situation warrants. They're the 'Swiss Army Knives' of Talents. So spending Legend Points to raise their rank is t...

Re: Seeking some feedback on a possible ED4 change
Here are some things that have been mentioned that we use in our game that work well and others that we think need improvement: 1. Attack to Stun - As 'heroes' my players nearly always employ this option when they come across some poor Horror marked fool/someone they want to interrogate/people that ...

Re: Kickstarter!
Cheers Shiinx. Might stick with the PDF bundle then. Shame they had to compromise on the size. Although I've been told it doesn't count
