Re: windlings. why them ?

Everybody keeps using the example of thrall, in thrall nobody worries because the crime rate is exceptionally low and the crown replaces anything they cannot recover, so the trade secrets are in a safe and the cash is in a desk draw with a simple lock. Everywhere else it is more of an issue. Especia...

Group patterns and mind affecting toxins.

Group patterns and mind affecting toxins. I am planning to run betrayals sting for my party tomorrow, it is most probable that one or more of the PCs will be infected with the enrages kiss, a poison that causes paranoia. The problem is that the party will have a group true pattern (they are planning...

Re: windlings. why them ?

For combat the simple answer is to always give the enemy’s a ranged option. I'm not a fan of forcing every encounter to have ranged combatants just to negate an advantage given to windlings. Spells and artifacts that allow flight are different in that they can be regulated by the GM. My point is th...

Re: Kaer Life

My question, though, is if there was a spell for the t'skrang to let them sleep through the scourge, why didn't everyone use it? What's so alluring about eking out a living in hiding for centuries? Why would you choose that if you could just fall asleep, and wake up when the horrors are gone? Maybe...

Re: windlings. why them ?

For combat the simple answer is to always give the enemy’s a ranged option. I do that wether there is a windling or not. It makes sense for the a combat force to keep its options open in this way most horrors and constructs have spells, even gnashers can jump far higher than you would expect, and bo...

Re: selling loot

I play very simply with this. The price listed is the price the PCs will get before use of a haggle talent or similar. It could conceivably be altered based on the market they are selling to but I have never bothered. The PCs may role any skill they can justify to know what to take, another roll may...

Re: horror stalker discipline question

Bonus question: How can a Horror Stalker stalk a Horror? Let's say he just defeated/ killed a Horror-marked foe and now wants to track and kill the Horror who marked the Namegiver - how can he do that? But the reality is that you find a Horror like you find a person. Everywhere Horrors touch Namegi...

Re: Obsidimen Racial Memory

Sounds like a possible alternative to a ghost master. An obsidemen could merge with a life rock that once had a high circle adept and get his training in the dreaming. I would rule the training itself doesn’t take any longer but you need to allow a weak or 2 for the pleasantries.

Re: some combat questions

Um I can name one perception improving talent of the top of my head. Orbital spy. Better check it in ED3. Ok its orbiting spy and it gives you a talent based perception check for things within 20 yards for hours at a time. It requires karma but is a diseplen talent for nethermancers, dose that still...

Re: some combat questions

Ok, looked up the chameleon talent. Looks like your correct by the rules. The question becomes how does a thief (or scout) of tenth circle sneak up on somebody in the bushes. They have only partial concealment and camouflage is a high circle talent. In short I think a mid circle thief or scout shoul...
