Re: Spells which negate serious threats :
I don't have too much of a problem with purify water or plant feast, just means I don't have to care too much about travel logistics unless the group is in an area where finding water or plants at all is difficult (desert, tundra), which is when they'll have to dig into their rations and water skins...

Re: Banishing a Named Spirit
Knowing the name of the spirit isn't so important for banishing. It is important for summoning them though if you want a particular Named spirit to serve you.

Re: That’s the same axe that beheaded me!
From my first post "Forged Weapons since they have a higher Damage Step can take more punishment than normal." Since it increases the Damage Step, the Forge Weapon talent improves a weapon's resistance to being destroyed since ruination is based on reducing this rating to 0 as opposed to a...

Re: Unarmed Damage
It boils down to needing the right Karma on the right test type essentially. Karma on Strength Tests = Karma on any Strength-only Attribute at Fourth Circle for Warrior Karma on melee weapons and unarmed combat Damage Tests...at Seventh Circle Warrior can spend Karma Points on any close combat Damag...

Re: Unarmed Damage
No A Fourth Circle Warrior may spend Karma on Strength-only Attribute Tests. This includes trying to break out of some powers, trying to lift something really heavy, break down a door through sheer strength, etc. Even if it is just Strength, the character is making a Damage Test, a different kind of...

Re: That’s the same axe that beheaded me!
As for JDATE probably one of the more disturbing things I ever read, but an engaging read when it was free online.

Re: That’s the same axe that beheaded me!
The system for weapon damage is described on p.250 of ED3r. Each time a weapon takes damage, it loses one step of damage. If its Damage Step is reduced to 0 it is considered destroyed. Forged Weapons since they have a higher Damage Step can take more punishment than normal. A destroyed/ruined weapon...

Re: Durability and Versatility
Not in my opinion. Its an extra 15 talent slots that do not require a multi-Discipline path to learn. Versatility is excellent even when used as a tool to pick up more talent options, even those within your own talent options or another Discipline's core. And with only the core Discipline talents co...

Re: Durability and Versatility
In ED3 revised its a second Core Discipline talent at Second Circle for all Disciplines and cannot be learned via Versatility. As for the concept in question in ED3, I would allow him to learn Durability by Versatility, however regardless of what Discipline he learned it from, it would be 4/3, as th...
