Idaknow, it makes sense to me that a low roll would miss everything. The narrative for a bow shot with a roll of 4 is that the missile arcs wildly off into the distance. One thing I pushed back on in my game with chain casting was the Resist Element (I can't remember the name off the top of my head). Even with all five in a single matrix it seemed a bit excessive to maintain all five elements at all times, though you may disagree in your game.

An additional piece of information that is nice for adepts is any thread items that are in play. Taking the generic thief template, plus attributes given, plus interesting thread items should be enough to really flesh out any npc.
